Meneo — Latinator Tu Mixtape

Meneo are a two-piece from Spain, comprising a DJ and VJ. Their sets are renowned for many things, including their nakedness. Latinator Tu is a mixtape comprising a variety of new Latin songs, with emphasis on variety and freshness. Sounds and Colours favourites including El Remolón, Quantic and Edu K make well-deserved appearances.

Meneo themselves describe the mix as including “bastard styles, rhythms and instruments which are all rooted back to the tropical sound (i.e. danzón, mambo, cumbia, boleros, salsa, merengue, etc.) alongside dubstep, hiphop, minimal, electro, etc.”

And continues: “this Latinator Tu mixtape is more or less a group of re-edits, remixes and versions that come from several mainstream producers and tunes that have all together adopted the “atún-con-pan” or reggaetón beat even though few come from the latin scene. So enjoy this relaxed vibe and remember: summer and percusiones are indeed inseparable!”
